The Pulsar Reverb

Discontinued

The Pulsar Reverb is an all original design, taking inspiration from my favorite vintage American amps - the Fender Princeton Reverb, the Tweed Deluxe, and old Gibson amps. It is my version of an ideal American tone.

Made with the best components, including custom designed Soursound transformers.

The Treble and Bass controls are redesigned for better versatility, and allows you to dial in anything from Deluxe Reverb to Tweed to even British-like tones.
Features:
2 6V6 power tubes - cathode biased for simplicity and touch sensitivity

Volt control allows you to go from 15 watts down to 1/4 watt

Tube driven spring reverb - tuned to be more "plate-like" while also sitting better in the mix

The most lush tremolo - uses power tube bias for a more 3D effect

Premium components and solid finger jointed pine cabinet for tone and durability

"I'm very impressed with your sense of tone and precision in your design and building of amplifiers... What is especially great about your amp is that I was able to get these same rich tones at the low volumes that are required for intimate settings paired with one other acoustic guitar.  For the singers, it's essential that I keep the volume way down on stage so they can focus on lyrics and intonation and mostly hear just themselves in the monitors. I think you've done a wonderful job hitting that spot..."

The Quasar

Custom order only - email to inquire

Don't need tremolo or reverb? The Quasar is a stripped down version of the Pulsar Reverb. Same build quality, same premium components, simplified for a lower price and a slightly more aggressive and direct tone.

A single Filter control replaces the Pulsar's two tone controls, and is usable throughout the entire range. Turn it all the way down for dark classic tones, turn it all the way up for a treble boost that will cut through any mix.
Features:
2 6V6 power tubes - cathode biased

3-way switch to control the bass character - from tight to full

Filter control goes from smooth and dark to cutting and "British"

Volt control allows you to go from 15 watts down to 1/4 watt
